The Standard Hotel

The Standard is a hot spot in Downtown L.A. I've been there a few times because I lived across the street and would know when something is going on. But it's such a fun environment. It's very unique! It's not your normal 3-4.5 star hotels, it's very colorful and it reminds me of something I would see in Tokyo. It's actually a really nice hotel, restaurant, pool, lounge/club. It's a hot spot for clubbing in Downtown L.A. Check it out when you're in the L.A area, even to grab a bite! There's three locations at the moment(Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and Miami) but their building one in New York City in the Meat Packing District. I'm very excited to see the hotel once it's done in NYC because the architecture is going to be incredible! Very different. I cannot wait to stay there and hang out!

The Standard in NYC

If you go on their website, it's pretty neat because the image of the construction changes every 15 mins.

Beyonce on SNL & Her Perfect Body

Beyonce & Justin Timberlake on SNL - 11/15

I couldn't stop laughing when JT was one of her back up dancers. The skip was to address those rumors that Beyonce used "a tranny" for her video. It was a big thing on Bossip.

Uhh, I need to call her trainer! When she was on Oprah on Thursday, she said she cooks Hamburger Helper frequently... Uh huh! She probably makes it for her hubby Jay. I'm waiting for photos from her "Single Ladies" performances to be posted to see her incredible figure! I also liked the dress she wore when she was performing "If I Were A Boy".

Remember to purchase "I Am... Sasha Fierce" on 11/18! You're also able to listen to her album on Beyonce's Myspace. My favorite song is "Broken Hearted Girl". I relate sooo much to it!

Sometimes, I wish I lived in London...

I've been blessed to see De La Soul, Mos Def and Nas at the Rock the Bells '08 in San Francisco. But it wouldn't hurt to see them ALL together again. And with Kanye & Will I AM there!

The New Improved JFK, Our President Obama

When my friend sent me the link to the shirt he bought, I wasn't expecting this! When our President Barack was announced as our new President of the United State, the first thing that came to my mind was, "The new improved JFK!!" This shirt means a lot to me, so I will be purchasing it for myself. Its a piece of art that says.. History is repeated because we needed a change and a new President for the people. I hope people are able to understand the meaning of this tee shirt.

Dee & Ricky

These two young designers Dee & Ricky are known for the Lego Heart and other Lego pieces that were featured in the Marc Jacobs Runway Show in 2007 for NYC Fashion Week. It's sometimes rare to see street wear mixed high-end contemporary but it's fun! It's fresh and young. I'd love to see another collab with urban wear!

Since I'm lucky to own a Lego Heart(thank you Ric!), I thought I'd share my love for these pieces and the designers. It's a cool pin that is very street wear but it looks good with almost anything! Its stuck on my leather jacket cause it looks fab! I recently wore my Alice + Olivia boots and I was wearing my heart.. And everyone loved it! But I loved my outfit a little more.lol

The Lego Heart has been seen on Kanye West and Travis McCoy(vocalist for Gym Class Heroes) as seen on Concrete Loop. And Travis just made a post about the twins on his blog!.
